You don’t need an account to build a Watch later queue on GIGAXXX, keep a list of favorites or pick up a video where you stopped. All of it is saved locally, in your own browser, and none of it is sent to us. Here’s how local saving works and what it means on shared devices and in private windows.
What you can save without an account
Everything below works with no sign-up and no email address. Each feature is stored under its own key in your browser’s localStorage.

Watch later and Favorites
Both buttons appear on video cards and on video pages. Watch later works best as a short queue of things you mean to see soon, while Favorites is for the videos you want to come back to again and again. The two lists are separate, and you can remove items whenever you like.
Recently viewed, recent searches and the history switch
GIGAXXX shows your recently viewed videos on the home page and your recent searches in the search box, so you can get back to something quickly. Videos you’ve already watched are also marked Watched wherever they appear. Both lists are controlled by the History on this device switch, which you’ll find in menu → Preferences and in the search panel.
- While history is on, the site keeps your recently viewed videos and your last 6 searches.
- You can clear either list at any time.
- Switch history off and both lists are cleared, and nothing new is recorded until you switch it back on.
Likes and resume
Your likes and dislikes are remembered in your browser; the video’s public counter only receives an anonymous +1. The player also keeps track of where you stopped in your last 40 videos, so when you come back, it picks up from that point, with your volume, playback speed, quality and autoplay next choice as you left them.
Your Saved page: three tabs in one place
Everything you’ve saved comes together on the Saved page, organized in three tabs:
- Watch later: your queue of videos to see soon.
- Favorites: the videos you’ve marked as favorites.
- History: the videos you’ve recently viewed on this device, while history is on.
Because the page reads your browser’s storage, it shows what this particular browser remembers. Open it on another device or in another browser and you’ll see different lists, or none at all.
How local saving works
What localStorage is
Browsers give every website a small storage area on your device called localStorage. A site can save short pieces of text there and read them back on your next visit. Four properties explain how saving on GIGAXXX behaves:
- It stays on your device. Unlike cookies, localStorage isn’t attached to the requests your browser sends. To show your lists, the site only asks our server for the titles and thumbnails of the videos in them, and nothing is stored on our side.
- It’s walled off per site. Other websites can’t read what GIGAXXX stores, and GIGAXXX can’t read theirs.
- It’s per browser and per profile. Chrome and Firefox on the same computer keep separate storage, and so do your laptop and your phone.
- It lasts. Closing the tab or restarting your computer doesn’t erase it, which is why your lists are still there tomorrow.
What GIGAXXX can and can’t see
GIGAXXX keeps no copy of your lists, history and votes. It sets no cookies of its own, and there are no analytics tools, advertising cookies or third-party trackers; the statistics used to rank videos are anonymous counts per video, which you can switch off in Cookie settings.
Like any website, though, we still receive the requests your browser makes to load pages. Cloudflare, our CDN and security provider, processes every request, including your IP address, to deliver and protect the site, and may set strictly necessary security cookies such as __cf_bm or cf_clearance. Our web server keeps standard access logs for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting, and deletes them automatically after about 5 days. Shared devices, private windows and clearing site data
On a shared computer or tablet
Anyone who uses the same browser profile can see what’s stored in it: recently viewed videos on the home page, recent searches in the search box and everything on the Saved page. If you share a device:
- Switch History on this device off, so recently viewed videos and recent searches aren’t kept.
- Remove any Watch later or Favorites items you’d rather keep to yourself, because the history switch doesn’t cover them.
- Clear the site data for gigaxxx.com when you’re done if you want to remove everything, including likes and resume points.
- Better still, give each person their own browser profile or device account.
Your browser also keeps its own history of the pages you visit, separately from GIGAXXX’s lists. Clearing site data doesn’t remove it; our guide to clearing your browsing history covers that part.
In a private or incognito window
A private window starts with empty storage, so it doesn’t show the lists from your normal windows, and anything you save while in it is discarded when you close the window. That’s good for privacy, but it also means a Watch later list built in a private window won’t be there next time. Our guide to incognito mode explains what private browsing does and doesn’t hide.
When site data is cleared
Clearing cookies and site data for gigaxxx.com erases everything in the table above in one go, along with your preferences and your cookie & storage choices. There’s no backup and nothing for us to restore, because we never had a copy.
It can also happen without you noticing:
- your browser is set to delete cookies and site data when it closes;
- a cleaning app or privacy extension wipes site data;
- some browsers, Safari in particular, may remove stored data for sites you haven’t visited in a while.
In most desktop browsers, clearing browsing history on its own leaves site data in place. To remove your GIGAXXX lists, choose the option that mentions cookies and site data.
Clearing site data can’t be undone
If your Watch later or Favorites list matters to you, check what a cleanup tool or browser setting is about to delete before you run it. Your browser holds the only copy.
