Parental controls

1. Add your child to your Family Sharing group, then open Settings → Family on your iPhone and tap your child’s name.
2. Tap Apps & Websites, then Restrictions → Filtering under Websites, and choose Limit Adult Websites.
3. Back in Apps & Websites, tap Add, enter gigaxxx.com and choose to block it.
4. Tap Manage Screen Time → Lock Screen Time Settings and set a passcode your child doesn’t know.
5. On iOS or iPadOS 26 and earlier, open Settings → Screen Time, tap your child’s name, then turn on Content & Privacy Restrictions.
6. Then tap App Store, Media, Web, & Games → Web Content → Limit Adult Websites, and add gigaxxx.com with Add Website below Never Allow.

Apple turns on web content limits by default when you set up a child’s device, but it’s worth checking these settings.

1. Install the Google Family Link app on your own phone and follow the prompts to supervise your child’s Google Account and device.
2. In Family Link, select your child and tap Controls → Google Chrome and Web.
3. Choose Try to block explicit sites.
4. Under Manage sites, tap Approved sites and Blocked sites, then add gigaxxx.com to the blocked sites.
5. Set up Google Play content restrictions for your child in Family Link, so only age-appropriate apps and games can be downloaded.
6. Tap Screen time → Time limits → App limits and block other browser apps, because the site filter only works in Chrome.
7. Without Family Link, open the Play Store app and tap your profile icon → Settings → Family → Content restrictions to set ratings protected by a PIN.

Menu names can vary by version.

1. Open Settings → Accounts → Family and add your child’s Microsoft account to your family group.
2. Make sure your child signs in to Windows and Microsoft Edge with that account, and that it’s a standard account, not an administrator.
3. Open the Microsoft Family Safety app, or Family Safety on the web, and select your child.
4. Open Content filters in the app, or the Web safety tab on the web, and turn on Filter inappropriate websites and searches.
5. Under Blocked sites, add gigaxxx.com.
6. Keep other browsers blocked, because web filtering only works in Microsoft Edge and Family Safety blocks unsupported browsers while it’s on.

1. Create a Standard user account for your child in System Settings → Users & Groups, using your child’s Apple Account.
2. Open System Settings → Family, select your child’s name and click Apps & Websites.
3. Click Restrictions → Filtering under Websites and choose Limit Adult Websites.
4. Back in Apps & Websites, click Add, enter gigaxxx.com and choose to block it.
5. Click Manage Screen Time → Lock Screen Time Settings and set a passcode your child doesn’t know.
6. On macOS 26 and earlier, open System Settings → Screen Time → Content & Privacy, turn it on and click App Store, Media, Web, & Games.
7. Choose Limit Adult Websites, click Customize and add gigaxxx.com to the Restricted list.

1. Set up supervision for your child’s Google Account in the Family Link app on your phone.
2. At the Chromebook’s sign-in screen, select Add person, sign in with your child’s Google Account and follow the prompts for parents.
3. In Family Link, select your child → Controls → Google Chrome and Web and choose Try to block explicit sites.
4. Under Manage sites, tap Approved sites and Blocked sites, then add gigaxxx.com to the blocked sites.
5. Sign in to the Chromebook with the owner account and open Settings → Privacy and security → Manage other people.
6. Turn off Guest browsing and turn on Limit who can sign-in, so only your family’s accounts can be used.

Menu names can vary by version.

1. Create a child account for each child on the console, linked to your own adult account.
2. PlayStation 5: open Settings → Family and Parental Controls → Family Management, select your child and restrict Web Browsing.
3. Xbox: in Microsoft Family Safety, select your child and turn on Filter inappropriate websites and searches, which also applies to Microsoft Edge on Xbox.
4. Nintendo Switch and Switch 2: link the console to the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls app on your phone and choose an age-based restriction level.
5. Set a PIN or passcode on each console so your child can’t change these settings.
6. Add a family DNS on your home router (see Home Wi-Fi & router) to filter every device on your network, consoles included.

Menu names can vary by version.

1. Open your router’s admin page or app; the address and login are usually printed on a label on the router.
2. Find the DNS settings, often under Internet, WAN or LAN/DHCP.
3. Replace the DNS servers with Cloudflare for Families: 1.1.1.3 and 1.0.0.3, which block malware and adult content.
4. If your router uses IPv6, also enter 2606:4700:4700::1113 and 2606:4700:4700::1003.
5. Save, restart the router and reconnect your devices.
6. If your router has its own parental controls, add gigaxxx.com to its blocked sites.
7. If your router doesn’t let you change DNS, enter 1.1.1.3 and 1.0.0.3 in each device’s network settings instead.

Phones on mobile data, and devices using a VPN or their own DNS settings, skip your router’s filter, so combine it with the device settings above.
